HODGES COMPLETES PHASE ONE OF 150M MIXED USE PROJECT

HODGES Development of Dallas, in concert with JV partner Covenant Health Systems, has completed phase one of Covenant Park, a 40-acre, 150M mixed-use project in Lubbock, Texas.

Anchored by the new Covenant Grace Surgical Hospital, Covenant Park will include a 108K SF of retail, an 80K SF entertainment complex, 200 multi family units, ten restaurant pads, and 2 hotel sites, all of which surround a 2-acre town green.

Phase one consists of 22,000 SF of multi-tenant retail buildings and two free-standing restaurants.

“Leasing has been brisk on the retail front, and multiple restaurants are set to construct and open this year.”

The 80,000 SF Schulman Movie Bowl Grille entertainment anchor has been announced to begin construction in June of this year to open in mid-2025.  The two-story complex includes 5 screens of cinema, 28 lanes of bowling, a large amusement area, 4 indoor pickleball courts, a full-service restaurant, and a two-level ONLY SONS BREWERY.

HODGES Architecture of Dallas provided the master planning of the project and design of the retail and entertainment anchor.

Leasing is provided by HODGES Development and Nairn Management of Lubbock.

“We are excited to be involved with the Covenant Park project. The project is located at the intersection of Marsha Sharp Freeway and 82nd Street, right in the middle of the fastest-growing area in the region.  There are more than 13,000 new homes being constructed and planned in the Frenship school district, one of the fastest-growing and highest-rated districts in the state. Covenant Park is a game-changing project and will provide a multitude of shopping, dining, entertainment, and health services for the region.”
